AVOL Cast iron pneumatic 3-way ball valve with the spring return AVP pneumatic actuator, available for diverting or mixing duties, built and tested in-house by the valve actuation specialists, All Valves Online
Air actuated 3-way ball valves are used to either mix or divert the flow in pipes, and 3 way cast iron ball valves are popular because they offer an economic solution for a wide variety of flowing media. Available with either an 'L' ported ball for diverting duties, or a 'T' ported ball for either mixing and or diverting duties, the AVP pneumatic 3-way cast iron ball valves cover most of the popular flow change requirements.
The actuated 3 way ball valves have all 3 ports in the same plane (horizontal entry), for flow path diagrams, click here. Air actuated 3-way cast iron ball valves automatically change the direction of flow in pipes, 'L' ported pneumatic 3-way ball valves divert the flow whereas a 'T' port pneumatic 3-way ball valve mixes the flow.
These air open spring close (single acting) AVP pneumatic actuators are commonly referred to as spring return pneumatic actuators and they provide a mechanical fail-safe function by discharging energy stored in compressed springs should the supply air pressure be lost.
Allvalves offer a complete range of actuator position monitoring, feedback and control devices.. These include limit switch boxes, a NAMUR solenoid valve range, valve positioners, air volume boosters and more. See here for the full range of AVOL pneumatic actuator accessories.
